Hi Newbies! Thanks for joining us and welcome to the fight for Legend of the Seeker. We’ve been going at this for a while and I thought you might appreciate an overview of some of the things we’ve done, and are doing.

First and foremost, I must state that: LotS has been cancelled. Don’t waste your time wondering if it was cancelled. It was. No one has made an official announcement so please don’t look for one. In a nutshell, it was cancelled because of Tribune’s bankruptcy. The rights are now held by Disney.

I’m first going to suggest that you read through the renewal warwagon 2 thread: http://bit.ly/b1hojh You’ll get caught up quick.

Right now, one of our major endeavors is to find LotS a new home. Here is a list of the networks we have contacted in no particular order:

Showtime, HBO, FX Network,
Starz, DirecTV, The CW,
NBC Universal, TNT, TBS,
BBC America, CBS, Trifecta,
Debar/Mercury, SyFy, Fox,
Ion, SFM, Warner Bros.,
Spike TV, G4

*SyFy has politely requested that we no longer contact their station. Please do NOT write, email or tweet them. They are, of course, making a mistake, but we will comply with their wishes.*

Every week we write to new stations to find a home for LotS. Please consult the Legend Journey Book (LJB) for updates: http://bit.ly/coDnsh I also try to post the addresses on the renewal war wagon 2 thread every morning. Please concentrate all of your letters to whomever we are writing that week. Five letters to one place will have more of an impact than five letters spread to five different places.

This week, we are asking all fans not in the US or Canada to continue writing to the networks listed on the LJB for the week of Sept 20th to the 25th.

This week, US fans are concentrating our efforts on the season 2 DVD drive. http://bit.ly/c6dce8 Sales of both season 1 and 2 DVDs are extremely important, actually, they’re crucial. Please do what you are able in that regard. If your local store doesn’t offer LotS DVDs, you can always jump on-line and request the store carry them on their shelves.

Another excellent link here: http://sot-fan.livejournal.com/4083.html Tons of other information and links with information to help. Also very important are donations: http://www.saveourseeker.com/ Donations have helped with our adverts, DVD drive, items for comic cons and much more.

Want Seeker gear? http://www.cafepress.com/SaveTheSeeker 10-20% of the proceeds from the sales at cafepress go to the DVD library drive.

If you would like to sign a petition there is one that needs your signature: http://www.petitionspot.com/petitions/LOTS3/sign/ People have discussed starting new petitions, but it’s probably best to fill this one up first.

Disney is no longer interested in producing LotS, so we are contacting them with a request that they sell the production rights to someone else. http://bit.ly/bXIpWZ The key to this is volume, so please check in and do whatever you are able to do.

Hulu.com now has the first season of LotS. It’s free and fun to watch. Please sign up and leave a review. http://bit.ly/9yOCRI You can also to to Netflix.com and watch Seeker episodes there.

Facebook has a group dedicated to LotS: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=269657990457
It’s free to join and only takes a moment. Don’t forget about twitter. Bridget Regan is on twitter and has a large following. We often try to trend on twitter. It’s also free to join. Twitter.com

I'll do my best to keep this up to date and am sure that I have forgotten something so more will be added later. Until then, I think there is enough here to keep you busy.
